1. Operator

This Payment Policy applies to services provided by Aleksei Umanchenko, Individual Entrepreneur (Registration No: 346991687), registered in Georgia, operating the Partikl platform at partikl.io, partikl.dev* (hereinafter "Partikl", "we", "us").

All payment processing is handled by [PAMYENT_PROCESSOR_REQUISITES], a licensed payment service provider and member of [COMPANY_NAME], Georgia.

We do not store, process, or have access to your full payment card details. All card data is handled exclusively by our payment processor in compliance with PCI DSS standards.

2. Plans and Pricing

2.1 Free Tier

The Free tier is permanently free with no credit card required and no time limit. Free tier accounts are subject to hard resource limits:

  • Storage: 5 GB
  • Transform units: 10K / month
  • Bandwidth: 10 GB / month
  • AI addon calls: Trial credits (one-time)

Free tier has no SLA commitment. Overage is not available on Free tier — processing stops when limits are reached. No charges are ever applied to Free tier accounts.

2.2 Paid Plans

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). Current plan pricing is displayed on our Pricing page.

Prices are denominated in USD. Your payment provider may apply currency conversion fees for non-USD cards. We are not responsible for exchange rate differences.

2.3 Early Access Pricing

Accounts created during the Early Access period may be eligible for promotional pricing as displayed at signup. Early Access pricing applies for the stated number of billing cycles, after which standard pricing applies. You will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase affects your account.

3. Free Trial

3.1 Trial Period

Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Team) include a 7-day free trial:

  • No charge is applied during the trial period
  • Trial is activated manually — your trial clock starts when you choose to activate it, not at signup
  • Credit card is required to start a paid plan trial
  • You will not be charged until the trial ends

3.2 Trial Cancellation

Cancel anytime during the trial period at no cost:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription
  2. Or email billing@partikl.io before your trial ends

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card will be charged for the first billing period.

3.3 Trial Limitations

Each account is eligible for one trial per plan tier. Trial credits for AI addons are granted once per account and do not renew.

4. Billing and Overage

4.1 Billing Cycle

  • Monthly plans: Charged on the same date each month as your initial subscription date
  • Annual plans: Charged upfront for 12 months
  • Overage: Billed at the end of each billing period based on actual usage exceeding your plan's included amounts

4.2 Overage Rates and Spending Cap

Spending cap: You may configure a monthly overage cap from your dashboard. The default cap is $30/month. Set cap to $0 to disable overage entirely — your account will behave as if on Free tier once limits are reached.

Usage alerts are sent automatically at 50%, 80%, and 100% of your included resources.

4.3 BYOS (Bring Your Own Storage)

If you use BYOS (your own S3-compatible bucket):

  • Storage overage charges do not apply
  • Bandwidth charges apply only to Partikl CDN delivery
  • Transform unit charges apply as normal

5. Cancellation

5.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

  1. Self-serve: Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription
  2. Email: billing@partikl.io

There are no cancellation fees.

5.2 Effect of Cancellation

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • After the period ends, your account moves to Free tier
  • Your data is not deleted. Content remains accessible and exportable
  • CDN delivery continues for cached content
  • You retain the ability to export your originals at any time

5.3 Annual Plan Cancellation

Annual plan cancellations take effect at the end of the annual billing period. Prorated refunds for unused months of annual plans are not available after the 14-day refund window (§6.3).

6. Refunds

6.1 14-Day Refund Window

We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first charge on a new subscription plan, if:

  • You have not consumed more than 20% of your plan's included resources during the period
  • You submit your refund request within 14 days of the charge date

To request a refund:

  • Email billing@partikl.io with subject: "Refund Request — [your account email]"
  • Include the charge date and reason
  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method

6.2 Non-Refundable Situations

The following are not eligible for refund:

  • Charges older than 14 days
  • Overage charges (usage already consumed)
  • AI addon credits that have been consumed
  • Accounts terminated for AUP violations
  • Annual plan charges after the 14-day window

6.3 Annual Plans

Annual plan charges are refundable within 14 days of the annual billing date. After 14 days, annual charges are non-refundable, but you retain access for the full annual period.

6.4 Chargeback Policy

We strongly encourage you to contact us at billing@partikl.io before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We resolve most issues within 24 hours.

Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in account suspension pending investigation.

7. Failed Payments

We handle failed payments with graceful degradation, not immediate lockout:

You will receive email notifications at each stage. Your data is never the first thing affected.

8. Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods through our payment processor [NAME] ([COMPANY_NAME]):

All transactions are processed securely. Card details are never transmitted to or stored by Partikl.

9. Taxes

Prices shown are exclusive of any applicable taxes. Partikl is operated by an Individual Entrepreneur registered in Georgia. We do not currently collect VAT, GST, or sales tax. You may be responsible for any taxes applicable in your jurisdiction.

10. Plan Changes

10.1 Upgrades

Plan upgrades take effect immediately. You will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the current billing period.

10.2 Downgrades

Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. If your usage exceeds the new plan's limits, you will need to reduce usage or the account will be capped at the lower tier's limits.
